What do you currently do?
I am one of the co-founders of CaféPod. We make great coffee assessable to people who own Nespresso machines by making our own range of high quality coffee capsules.
What is your inspiration in the business?
What inspires us is the thought of being able to put a range of great tasting coffee in the hands of Nespresso owners across the world. People who own Nespresso machines have been locked into drinking the same coffee for years and we want to be the people who bring these consumers a host of choices.
Looking back, are there things you would have done differently?
As a start up, cash is always going to be a constraint, so more funding would have been nice, as I’m sure most businesses would say!
What defines your way of doing business?
Make sure that whatever you do benefits both parties. Whether it’s your customers, suppliers, investors, employees. Taking this approach gets people buying into your long term view as opposed to a short term take on things.
What advice would you give to someone just starting out?
Action is everything. There are lots of great ideas out there that no one does anything about. Make sure you keep moving forward by taking actions. This is the only way you’ll learn and be able to take your learning and move on from there
